In the early Edo period, Unryu-in Temple and Ryugeden were annexed, and Emperor Gomizuo rebuilt Ryugeden of sutra hall at the current location of Unryu-in Temple.
The temple was developed by the deep faith of successive imperial families. In the early Meiji era, the Reimeiden Hall, which enshrines the spirits of successive Emperors, was completed.
