This is Fukujuen tea shop founded in 1790. It is located along Uji River near Byodoin Temple. The shop looks new, spacious and bright Japanese interior. I felt graceful with having the fragrant Uji matcha tea while looking at the view of Uji River.

This is also a popular long-established tea shop, Nakamura Tokichi tea shop. You can see the shop curtain from the approach on the way to Byodoin Temple. The café is a relaxed atmosphere like being at home. I had the No.1 popular matcha jelly at this shop. It is a deep luxurious matcha taste! ^^
