Kyoto National Museum
There are many cultural properties in Kyoto and Nara. They needed a facility to store them. And Kyoto National Museum was built. The building is a neo-renaissance style architecture completed in 1895. It was designated as an important cultural property in 1969.
Heisei Chishinkan Wing
It is the new exhibition hall built in 2013.
“Treasures from the Imperial Palace” exhibition is currently being held. Held until November 23, 2020.
Access
Get off at “Shichijo Station” on the Keihan Line and walk east for 7 minutes.
It is a short distance from the city bus stop “museum Sanjusangen-do”.
